Michael Charest, BGS President
Michael began his private coaching practice in 1998. Michael has personally coached hundreds of small business owners and has served thousands through his speaking, audio programs and newsletter. Prior to coaching, he was the general manager of a prestigious country club in Los Angeles, managing 150 employees and serving 1,800 members. Michael has a degree in Management from Arizona State University. Michael lives in Kansas City, MO, his launchpad for lots of world travel. Michael loves golf, massages, playing with his dog Ava, fine cigars, hot tubs and martinis!
Mark Charest, BGS Membership Club Coordinator and Michael’s brotherMark started with BGS in October 2008 after a smooth and eagerly awaited transfer from the public to private sector. After graduating from Arizona State University in Management, he worked as a Police Officer for 9 years. During Mark’s law enforcement career he had the opportunity to provide dignitary protection for many prominent leaders; meet two Unites States Presidents and received a prestigious life saving award. He later managed the Juvenile Justice Division for his county in Kansas. Mark’s attention to detail, organization and communication skills are a huge asset to managing the membership program. Mark is happily married to his wife Julie of 16 years and loves spending time with his daughters Katie and Nicole as well as reducing his golf handicap to fewer than 8! mark@bgsllc.com
Julie Charest, BGS Director of Service and Michael’s sister-in-law
Julie graduated from Arizona State University with a degree in Human Resource Management. Julie’s work history includes working for a fortune 500 printing company as a communications manager and managing a team at the world famous Ritz-Carlton hotel in Phoenix, AZ. During her management career at the Ritz-Carlton, Julie and was an integral part of the team that helped the company win the Malcolm Baldridge award for quality. Julie enjoys living in rural Kansas, being president of the PTA for Katie and Nicole’s school, fishing, decorating, spending time with her family and serving all the wonderful BGS clients! Judy Charest, Michael’s Mom and BGS Director of Speaking
Judy worked the last 18 years with Del Webb Corporation, a well-known development company specializing in building retirement communities and lifestyles throughout the country. She held various managerial positions within the organization culminating in Manager of Customer Service. She joined the BGS team full-time in 2005. Her Customer Service skills serve the company well. As Michael’s representative and speaking ambassador, she continues to keep his schedule full with speaking engagements throughout the U.S., Canada, and abroad. Judy@bgsllc.com
Cristin Stolfo, BGS Event Director
Cristin is a professional coach who graduated from the prestigious Coaches Training Institute. She has over 10 years of experience working with business owners to help them effectively grow their businesses through advertising, marketing, and business development. Cristin’s home base is in Boise, Idaho and you will often find her working from a variety of other locations while she feeds her passion for travel. When Cristin is not working, she likes to spend time with friends and family (including her much loved dog Bella), playing outdoors and being physically active.
